Mutrah Corniche | Muscat, Oman
"The Mutrah Corniche follows a long stretch of coastline between a small mountain range and the Gulf of Oman. It’s lined with beautiful architecture, mosques, fountains, and gardens, and is a popular walking route for locals. The corniche has many old lookouts like the one in the photo above, over the Gulf of Oman – the home port of the Sultan Qaboos’ private fleet of yachts and dhows (traditional middle eastern sailboats). The corniche is also home to the Souq Mutrah, a traditional Omani bazaar.”
